Madeleine Song is a member of the class of 2019 at Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest (NVD). Madeleine is the 2017 Publicity Chair and 2018 Vice President for her Varsity Debate team, the Poetry Editor of her school’s literary magazine, the Secretary of her school’s Computer Science Club, an editor of her school’s Science Magazine. Madeleine is a member of the Varsity Winter Track, Varsity Spring Track, and Varsity Cross-Country Teams. She was named 2^ndteam all-league cross country for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Madeleine also enjoys music. She volunteers at Spectrum for Living, where she sings and reads to residents. She also serves in her church’s praise team and has participated in the county and regional choruses. She has been honored on a regional level by the 2016 and 2017 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Her works have also received the “Editor’s Choice” award from Teen Ink magazine and been published by The Same literary magazine. She is thankful for her passionate and dedicated teachers at NVD who challenge and inspire her.
