The New Jersey Department of Education has been a co-sposor of the Governor's Awards since the start of the program. In 2008 when the New Jersey Arts Education Partnership took on the day to day management of the program, the NJ State Council on the Arts, the Department of State and ArtPride New Jersey were added as sponsors.
