New Jersey Arts Education Partnership Governance

The New Jersey Arts Education Partnership is a co-sponsored project of Music for All. The programs and activities of the NJAEP are under the guidance of the Governance and Steering Committees. Kristin Golden Wenger serves as the Director of the NJAEP, and Bob Morrison of Music for All providing guidances on behalf of the Governance Committee.

Governance Committee:

The Governance Committee is made up of the project’s major partners: The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, New Jersey Department of Education, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, ArtPRIDE NJ and Music for All. The major responsibility of the Governance Committee is to provide oversight and guidance in achieving the goals of the organization.

Steering Committee:

The Steering Committee is made up of representatives from the major arts education associations, arts education providers and organizations, higher education, art supervisors, county arts agencies and parent groups. The responsibilities of the Steering Committee are to: create and design the agenda and goals of the NJAEP; determine the number of meetings necessary to carry out the accepted goals; attend all meetings of the full group and working committees; serve on committees or task forces and offer to take on special assignments; be informed about the organization’s mission, services and programs; inform others about the organization; make significant contributions to the work of the committee and the organization and work to achieve the goals of the organization. The committee has established several task forces to address key issues related to the release of the final New Jersey Arts Education Census Project report.
